Jet Away gelding who made a very taking hurdles debut at Kelso in October, impressing with how he jumped/travelled in recording an easy victory. Improved a little on that form when third in a listed event at Haydock subsequently and can defy a penalty now back in an ordinary novice.

Modest form in bumpers and was probably flattered when beaten only 10 lengths in a small-field novice at this course (22f) 18 days ago, allowed a soft lead. Looks vulnerable.

Just minor promise in a brace of bumpers 11 months apart. Upped in trip for hurdles debut and fitted with a first-time tongue strap.

Winning pointer at the fifth attempt who shaped as if better for the run despite being well backed on Hexham hurdle debut in September. Big step forward needed.

Landed an Ayr bumper in cosy fashion on debut and found only one too good on hurdling debut there (2m) 47 days ago, clear of rest. Better to come over this longer trip

The form of his narrow 3m Irish point win in March isn't anything special and he was well held on his hurdling debut at Wetherby last month. Up in trip.

Runner-up on first of 3 starts in points but has offered nothing so far over hurdles.

Bollin Eric gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (17f winner) The Tiddly Tadpole. Market for clues.

Successful in a point bumper and produced a promising first effort under Rules when third at Hexham in March. Well held both starts over hurdles, though.

€50,000 3-y-o, £120,000 4-y-o, Jeremy gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler/chaser At Your Ease. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (stayed 23f) Likearollingstone. Won second of 2 starts in Irish points in March 2019 and, while he's a latecomer to Rules, he still needs a market check.

Forecasts

Snake Roll (4/6), Vandemere (10/3), Gege Ville (4/1), Henry Gray (18/1), Brian's Jet (28/1), Top Cloud (40/1), Five Dollar Fine (50/1), Puddledub I Froget (150/1), Derwent Dealer (150/1), Is So Cute Dimaria (200/1), Blame Rose (300/1)

Verdict

SNAKE ROLL has made a promising start to his career and looks capable of defying a penalty back in an ordinary novice. Gege Ville shaped promisingly when finding only one too good on his Ayr hurdling debut and has better to come now moving up in trip, while Vandemere requires a market check for all he's a latecomer to Rules.
