Herakles³⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: P Mulrennan| T: B Smart

6/1

Once-raced maiden. 25/1, tenth of 14 in minor event at this C&D on debut 35 days ago. Hard to warm to on the back of that low-key introduction.

Mistamac¹⁸

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: Billy Garritty| T: J & S Quinn

16/1

Twice-raced maiden. 13/2, seventh of 9 in minor event at this course (6f) 18 days ago, not knocked about. Shaped fairly well on debut at Catterick 7 months earlier and should have races in him.

Form: 37

(8)

Ascending Glory²⁰⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-2| J: S H James| T: Grant Tuer

5/1

Twice-raced maiden. 11/2, third of 6 in minor event at Catterick (5f, good) when last seen in June. Will probably come into her own in handicaps in due course but place possibilities here nevertheless.

Form: 43

(3)

Candy Eye

Age: 2| Weight: 9-2| J: G Lee| T: T P Tate

28/1

Foaled March 31. 13,000 gns foal, £18,000 yearling, Expert Eye filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including 1m winner Calorie and 2-y-o 5f winner Rodnee Tee. Interesting to see what the market has to say.

Carlotta^b1,e/s1¹⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-2| J: Ryan Sexton⁽³⁾| T: A Keatley| OR: 64

10/1

Modest filly. First run since leaving Kieran Patrick Cotter when respectable third of 8 in maiden (10/3) at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 10 days ago. Eyeshields and blinkers on 1st time here. Looks vulnerable.

Form: 264543

Hello Queen

Age: 2| Weight: 9-2| J: Shane Gray| T: K A Ryan

9/2

Foaled February 1. Acclamation filly. Dam, winner at 5f/5.5f (including at 2 yrs), half-sister to useful 5f/6f winner Red Pike. Top northern yard can ready a newcomer and she needs close attention in the betting.

Form:

Holly Blackmore³⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-2| J: Richard Oliver| T: D O'Meara

50/1

Once-raced maiden. Eighth of 11 in maiden at this course (6f, 14/1) on debut 35 days ago. Probably more of a long-term prospect.

Form: 8

(7)

Megan Moon^h⁶¹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-2| J: Cameron Noble| T: R Varian

6/5

Highly promising sort. 12/1 and hooded, fourth of 12 in maiden at Southwell (5f) on debut 61 days ago, not knocked about. Can be expected to take a signficant step forward here with that experience to draw upon.

Form: 4

Weight: 9-7| Age: 2

T: R M H Cowell J: Connor Beasley

Forecasts

Megan Moon (6/5), Hello Queen (9/2), Ascending Glory (5/1), Herakles (6/1), Bluff (13/2), Carlotta (10/1), Mistamac (16/1), Candy Eye (28/1), Holly Blackmore (50/1)

It's hard to resist the allure of MEGAN MOON, who shaped with a great deal of promise when fourth on debut at Southwell where she did very indeed to finish as close as she did, having fluffed the start. The Roger Varian-trained filly is open to any amount of improvement. Newcomer Hello Queen ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper and is next on the list ahead of Ascending Glory and Carlotta.
