West Approach^b⁴

Age: 12| Weight: 12-2| J: Freddie Gingell⁽⁷⁾| T: J Tizzard| OR: 122

7/1

Irresolute performer who posted one of his better efforts when second at Lingfield on reappearance but that was only 4 days ago, so the race might come too soon.

Form: 343-2P2

Manwell^t²¹

Age: 12| Weight: 11-13| J: Tom Midgley⁽³⁾| T: S England| OR: 119

14/1

Hard to rely on but scored at Catterick last season and might come on for his reappearance at the same track 3 weeks ago.

Form: 43P15-6

Rocky's Treasure^p³⁸

Age: 11| Weight: 11-12| J: Kai Lenihan⁽⁸⁾| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR: 118| CD

7/2

Well handicapped judged on past exploits (latest success at Doncaster in December 2020 was off an 18 lb higher mark) but he's none too reliable and was a well-held third at Warwick last time.

Form: 5662-53

Marracudja^t¹³

Age: 11| Weight: 11-9| J: Tristan Durrell⁽³⁾| T: D Skelton| OR: 115

13/2

Won a weak Fontwell handicap chase and Leicester hunter last season. Back on track at Bangor last time and step back up in trip will suit, so worth chancing from a handy mark.

Form: 19-45P2

Al Roc^b,t¹²

Age: 11| Weight: 11-7| J: Theo Gillard| T: D Pipe| OR: 113

25/1

Being kept very busy this season and looks to have completely lost his form. Others preferred.

Form: 433PP3

Midnight Moss^p,t²³²

Age: 10| Weight: 11-5| J: Toby Wynne⁽⁶⁾| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 111| BF| CDWS

2/1

Off mark over fences at second attempt at Doncaster in February 2020. Off 2 years subsequently but proved he retains ability last term. One to consider back from 7 months off/breathing operation.

Form: 321/P32-

Steel Wave^b,t⁵

Age: 12| Weight: 10-9| J: Tabitha Worsley| T: G Hanmer| OR: 101| D

10/3

Patchy form since his last win over an extended 3m at Southwell in March and others preferred.

Form: 242334

Forecasts

Midnight Moss (2/1), Steel Wave (10/3), Rocky's Treasure (7/2), Marracudja (13/2), West Approach (7/1), Manwell (14/1), Al Roc (25/1)

MARRACUDJA is on a reasonable mark and shaped nicely over an inadequate trip at Bangor last time, so he's preferred to Midnight Moss, who returns with his stable still going well. Rocky's Treasure isn't completely dismissed for all he's not the most genuine.
