Better than ever last season partnered with Lucy Turner, completing the hat-trick (his fourth success from 6 starts) when landing the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Mark into the 140s now but his stable's good recent form provides plenty of hope on reappearance.

Veteran chaser who scored twice here last December, including this race. Well held since but given a chance by the handicapper as a result and no surprise were a return to this venue to spark a revival.
Classy chaser on his day and looked rejuvenated by a change of headgear when scoring at Aintree back in May 2021. Not in the same mood in a couple of runs later that year and off for 11 months ahead of this reappearance.
Won the Ultima at Cheltenham Festival in 2018. Still capable of useful form for Nick Williams in 2020/21. Missed last season but still an interesting contender on this first outing for Venetia Williams, particularly if the betting vibes are strong.
Winless since 2019, Did end last season with a good second at Taunton in March but his reappearance run at Sedgefield last month was poor. Needs to have come on a lot for the outing.
In good form when fitted with a visor in spring 2021, winning at Newcastle and second here. Been absence since but he has been given a chance by the handicapper as a result (same mark as when winning at Newcastle). Check betting.
Looked about as good as ever under a cool ride when landing a Doncaster veterans' event (3m) on final start last season. Creditable third on his 21.5f Kelso reappearance and much respected with that outing behind him.
Runner-up in a similar event at Newbury in March. Well below that level in 2 outings in France later in the spring but made a creditable return to Britain when fourth in Cheltenham veterans' event 19 days ago. Back up in trip.
Dual chase winner (at around 3m) in early-2021. Best effort last season when second at Hereford (25f) in February. Labouring a long way out on his 2½m Cheltenham reappearance 19 days ago. This trip more suitable but others still preferred.

Forecasts
Saint Xavier (3/1), The Two Amigos (10/3), Coo Star Sivola (9/2), Up Helly Aa King (6/1), Chambard (15/2), Blaklion (17/2), Another Emotion (22/1), Fortified Bay (22/1), Burbank (28/1)
UP HELLY AA KING proved his well-being with a good reappearance run at Kelso and might be the most solid option. Kim Muir winner Chambard is an obvious threat if primed for his reappearance. His new stablemate Coo Star Sivola is also interesting back from a long absence, a comment which also applies to Fortified Bay who returns off the same mark as when winning at Newcastle in February 2021.
