10/3
10/3, creditable second of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (14f) 14 days ago. 0-12 in this sphere but this multiple hurdles winner hasn't been with present yard for long and needs considering off a workable mark.

25/1
Course winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2020. 14/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at Newbury (11f, good to firm) when last seen in June. Subsequent absence is, if anything, a good thing (goes well fresh) and he's not without hope.

6/1
Course winner. Respectable sixth of 13 in handicap (13/2) here (11f) 19 days ago. Record stands at 1-11 and, chances are, she'll find one or two too good once more.

Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 13 in maiden at this course (11f, 66/1) 54 days ago. More needed now handicapping but that's not beyond the realms of possibility. One to note in the betting.

Good second of 14 in handicap (6/1) at Southwell (12.1f) 12 days ago, sticking to task. 2 lb rise for that is fair and he merits consideration.

13/2
Eleven runs since last win in 2020. 6/1, respectable seventh of 12 in handicap at this C&D 33 days ago. Needs to bounce back in a significant way but, on the upside, he has been given a chance by the handicapper.

7/1
Course winner. Latest win at Chepstow in July. 17/2, respectable fifth of 13 in handicap at this course (11f) 68 days ago, left with too much to do. Now 3 lb lower and he's high on the shortlist.

Forecasts

Haku (11/4), Longclaw (10/3), How Hard Can It Be (6/1), Where's Tom (13/2), Bug Boy (7/1), Pink Haze (11/1), Lovers' Lane (14/1), Vitalline (16/1), Broad Appeal (25/1), Mr Zee (33/1), Jewel Of Kabeir (80/1), Long Time Comin (200/1)

Verdict

BUG BOY caught the eye when fifth here on his latest start in September and he makes plenty of appeal off this 3 lb lower mark. Having also slipped down the weights, Where's Tom has to enter calculations, for all that his efforts so far this year have not been inspiring, while Broad Appeal is interesting given his positive record when fresh and handicap debutante Lovers' Lane is worth a second look.
