Progressive hurdler who made a winning start in this sphere at Market Rasen last November. However, jumping went to pot at Chepstow next time (beaten when eventually unseating rider 2 out following numerous mistakes) and he now has a bit to prove.
Dual hurdles winner and accounted for 5 rivals on chase debut at Exeter (19.2f, soft) last November. Failed to add to that in 4 subsequent starts of 2021/22 campaign but this drop back in trip looks a good move and he's one to consider.
Irish point winner who has made an excellent start over fences last term, completing a hat-trick at Ludlow in December. Soft ground perhaps wasn't ideal at Sandown when last seen and he remains unexposed in this sphere.
Runner-up twice at Wincanton last season prior to resuming winning ways in good style there (2½m, heavy) in March. Pulled up on return in a handicap hurdle at Worcester but that was presumably a pipe-opener and likely he'll be seen in a better light back over fences here.
Developed into a useful chaser last term, signing off with a couple of small-field victories in 21f Hereford handicaps. Reappearance effort at Market Rasen lacked spark, though, and others make more appeal.
Caused a surprise when taking 4-runner novice at Leicester on debut over fences in February. However, he was beaten a fair way in a Sandown handicap when last seen during the spring and his overall profile is hardly compelling.
Landed a 19.5f Lingfield maiden hurdle on Rules debut and didn't do a great deal wrong in 3 subsequent starts over timber last season. Shade disppointing on return/chase bow at Carlisle but this point winner is likely to make his mark in this sphere before long.
Produced a more assured round of jumping when doubling his tally over fences at Newbury (22.4f, good) in April. Record has a rather patchy look to it, though, and he offered little on his recent reappearance at Bangor.
Scored at Wincanton and Huntingdon earlier this year but never really found much of a rhythm after an early error in his hat-trick bid at Sandown. Back on the right track when third over 2¼m on return here a fortnight ago and one to consider now back up in trip.
Successful twice from half-a-dozen starts over fences in France last season, including on his latest outing at Pau (2½m, soft) in January. Something of an unknown quantity and it will be interesting to see what the market has to say ahead of this British debut.

Viva Lavilla (3/1), Dorking Lad (7/2), Haut Folin (9/2), Le Cameleon (9/2), Striking A Pose (15/2), Scene Not Herd (15/2), The Edgar Wallace (17/2), Flagrant Delitiep (12/1), Orrisdale (28/1), Duc De Beauchene (40/1), Nelson River (50/1)
Cases can be made for the majority of these, with STRIKING A POSE topping the list ahead of Scene Not Herd. Joe Tizzard's charge evidently goes well fresh and he looks feasibly treated judged on the form of his chase debut success at Exeter last November. Scene Not Herd was 3-4 over fences last season and is feared most ahead of Dorking Lad, who should be in the mix if able to build on his reappearance effort here.
