Ran to fair level on hurdles debut but made no impression on his second start and seemingly lost way on Flat this summer.
Rallied to get off the mark over the extended 2¾m trip at Kelso in May and gained another success at that course (16f) last month, again impressing with his attitude. Much respected from 3 lb higher mark.
Stepped up on reappearance when third of 11 in handicap hurdle at Wetherby (21.2f, good, 12/1) 20 days ago. Possibilities from this mark and won over this trip last term, though probability remains he'll prove best over further.
Finally got off the mark over hurdles in 6-runner maiden at Market Rasen (18.6f) in June. Shaped as if needing run on handicap debut last time but some improvement probably required here.
15/2, respectable fourth of 8 in novice hurdle at Perth (16.2f, good) 56 days ago, though didn't look particularly suited by drop in trip. Interesting that connections stick to this distance for handicap debut.
Shaped as if needing run on return at Kelso last time but didn't show his form last season and remains opposable here.
Has won 4 of his last 6 outings, finishing close-up seconds on the other 2 occasions. Improved when scoring in 8-runner handicap hurdle at this C&D (good) 7 days ago and should take all the beating again from unchanged mark.
Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 40/1 and hooded for 1st time, sixth of 9 in novice hurdle at Carlisle (17.2f, good to soft) 35 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Much more required on handicap hurdle debut.
Very lightly raced over hurdles of late (runner-up on Flat on penultimate start) and went with little promise when pulled up in handicap hurdle at Ayr (19.5f, good to soft) 24 days ago.
Placed at Cartmel and Newton Abbot in the summer but ran below form on return from break when ninth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Chepstow (16f, good to soft) 23 days ago. Blinkers back on. Others more persuasive.
Ran best race when second in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last month. Got away with mistakes on that occasion and wasn't so lucky when unseating at the final flight there last time (may have been placed again). This contest is deeper.
Yet to win in this sphere though ran better than for a while when third of 10 in novice hurdle at Musselburgh (15.6f, soft) 15 days ago. Still, needs more on first run for yard after leaving Maurice Barnes.

Forecasts
Lucky Lover Boy (2/1), Lock Down Luke (11/4), Genever Dragon (5/1), Limerick Leader (11/2), Jet Legs (8/1), My Macho Man (9/1), Rory And Me (16/1), Billy Bathgate (16/1), Applesandpierres (22/1), Bushmill Boy (25/1), Coolkill (25/1), Mactavish (28/1), Placedela Concorde (66/1), Bamboo Bay (100/1)
LUCKY LOVER BOY escapes a penalty for last week's C&D success and the 7-y-o can make it 5 wins from his last 7 outings for the Greenall & Guerriero team. Lock Down Luke is a likeable type and should give another good account, whilst Jet Legs could have more to offer now handicapping.
- Lock Down Luke11/4
- Jet Legs8/1
