Won a pair of novice hurdles in early-2021 and bounced back to his best when runner-up on return at Cheltenham 12 days ago, conceding first run and race fitness to a thriving rival. This just his second start over fences and, hailing from an in-form yard, he's fancied to be bang there.

Fairly useful hurdler (won novices on first 2 outings) who probably ran to a similar level sent chasing after 6 months off when runner-up at Newton Abbot last month, albeit flattered by proximity to eased-down winner. Could build on that today.
On the up and made it 4 from 8 over hurdles when scoring at Wetherby (again by narrow margin) in February. However he ran no sort of race when last seen at Perth in April but market support should be noted on return/chase debut.
Landed a juvenile fillies' hurdle in France and impressive when following up in a mares' novice on yard debut at Huntingdon (19.6f) last October. Disappointing in handicaps earlier this year and now attentions are turned over the larger obstacles after a 6-month break.
Suited by the step up in trip when scoring with something to spare at Lingfield (19.5f) in January. Failed to repeat that form on both subsequent outings but he looks every inch a chaser so has to be respected on reappearance.
Scored twice over hurdles last season but failed to justify support sent chasing after 6 months off at Market Rasen recently, jumping ponderously/going with little fluency. Questions to answer but it remains early days for this previous point winner.

Forecasts
Calico (2/1), Triple Trade (11/4), Datsalrightgino (3/1), Dibble Decker (5/1), No Risk Des Flos (22/1), Trapista (28/1)
A tricky contest to unravel despite the small field but preference is for CALICO, who found only one too strong returning from 7 months off at Cheltenham recently, and with that outing sure to have blown away any cobwebs, Dan Skelton's charge can open his account over fences with the yard amongst the winners. Triple Trade rates an exciting chasing prospect so he's feared most on reappearance, with Datsalrightgino rounding off the shortlist.
