Vickers.Bet Handicap Chase

Back to form to win at Newton Abbot (2m) in March. Had one of his stinkers at Worcester in July, however, and not one to rely on.

In good form during the spring, completing a double in some thin events. Not so good both starts in the summer but respected in this field.

Confirmed previous promise over hurdles when off the mark in novice handicap at Hereford (19.7f) in February. Well backed but unseated at the third there next time. Can put that effort behind him now switched to fences (chasing type).

Had cheekpieces on first time when snapping a losing run at Warwick in January. Mixed record since but player on best form on return.

Left previous efforts behind when scoring on handicap hurdles bow at Newton Abbot a year ago. Followed that with a good effort at Chepstow but poor efforts both starts since. Chase debut.

Fairly useful hurdler who made an inauspicious start to her chasing career at Hereford and not much better for new yard here on return 2 weeks ago.

Won handicap hurdle at Taunton (23.9f) on final run for Johnny Farrelly. Off 16 months and in first-time tongue strap, first past post in conditionals handicap at Newton Abbot sole start in 2021/22, but later disqualified after testing positive for prohibited substance. Of interest now chasing.

C&D winner last season but rather going through the motions at present, one paced third of 5 in handicap chase at Plumpton (19.8f, good) 6 days ago. Others more appealing.
