Closely related to top-class chaser God's Own. Promising start in bumpers earlier this year, runner-up on debut at Exeter prior to readily getting off the mark at Chepstow (2m) in April. Very much the type to make his mark over hurdles.

Cokoriko gelding out an 11.5f winner. 9/4, impressed when making winning bumper debut at Doncaster (16.5f) back in February, leading over 1f out and quickening clear. Goes hurdling with yard firmly amongst the winners and interesting, particularly if strong in betting.

Fair maiden in bumpers/over hurdles in Ireland who proved disappointing when well beaten third in a Kilbeggan maiden (15f) back in April. Joined shrewd new yard for £26,000 in May but he's had plenty of chances in this sphere already.

6-y-o who displayed fairly useful form when making fourth start in bumpers a winning one early in 2021. Absent since finishing promising fourth in an Ascot novice hurdle (15.7f) this time last year but he remains with potential going forward in this sphere.

Proved easy to back but posted an excellent second on debut in a Southwell bumper (15.8f) back in January. Couldn't quite build on that when filling same spot at Doncaster (16.5f) in March. Hurdles debut.

Yeats gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Guiding George. Shaped with some encouragement in a 19f Limerick maiden hurdle prior to getting off the mark at the second time of asking in points last December. Sold for £60,000 and open to improvement for new stable. Tongue tied.

Fairly useful maiden on the level in Ireland and definite promise to glean from exploits in juvenile hurdles for present yard last winter. Entitled to be sharper for spin on Flat at Goodwood 2 weeks ago but bare hurdles form needs improving upon.

Fair form when runner-up both starts in bumpers and promise when runner-up on return in Perth novice hurdle (16.2f) in September, hampered last but finishing well. Entitled to improve from that initial experience.

Forecasts

Ginny's Destiny (5/2), Heezer Geezer (4/1), Mexico (4/1), Young Buster (5/1), The Kniphand (10/1), Ohnodonttakemehome (10/1), Mahons Glory (14/1), Lifetime Legend (28/1)

Verdict

The market should prove useful assessing the hurdling debutants but MEXICO shaped with promise amidst inexperience when fourth in an Ascot novice this time last year and, with this longer trip expected to be within range, he gets the tentative vote to build on that now. Heezer Geezer and Ginny's Destiny, both successful in bumpers earlier this year, are others fancied to play lead roles.
