25/1

Won all 7 starts in 2021 and having found the Swinton a bit too much, she was back in the winners' enclosure at Newton Abbot in June. Unseated at Cartmel 76 days ago but might not have finished improving.

Bucko's Boy^p³¹

Bolted up at this course in July and wasn't disgraced after an 8-lb rise when third of 5 here (16.8f) a month ago. This is an easier contest, and he makes plenty of appeal.

Forecasts

Soul Icon (4/6), Bucko's Boy (9/2), Swaffham Bulbeck (13/2), Denable (8/1), Kannapolis (10/1), Thahab Ifraj (12/1), Peltwell (25/1)

SOUL ICON has been highly progressive in handicap hurdles and, having scored readily again over C&D last time, he's worth a chance to gain his sixth win from his last seven starts. The hat-trick seeking Denable could emerge as the main danger, although Bucko's Boy is hard to rule out.
