AW novice winner (9.5f) last winter who hit the frame first 3 starts this year, including in pair of handicaps at up to 10f. Efforts have been mixed in 2 subsequent starts but bounce back possible and booking of Buick catching the eye.

Eased in weights and hit the frame in handicaps at Leicester/Yarmouth in August. Shaped as if still in form despite hanging badly left late on at Epsom (12f) 4 weeks ago and the visor quickly discarded now.
3-y-o who was most progressive when racking up 4-timer at Ripon (12f) in June. Progress stalled next 3 starts but back on the up when landing 10-runner Newcastle handicap (12.5f) 24 days ago. Good gallop to aim at here will help.
2 wins from 5 runs this year. Latest win at Newmarket in August. 4/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at Yarmouth (11.5f, good to firm) 14 days ago, dropping away final 1f. Makes polytrack debut.
Definite promise in trio of novice events at up to 10f (spread over 7 months) not given a hard time when sixth of 10 in minor event (13/2) at Chelmsford in July. Gelded subsequently and type to do better now handicapping.
Thrice-raced maiden. 20/1, gelded, ran below pick of form when seventh of 11 in minor event at Kempton (12f) 13 days ago. Still, does now get a crack at handicaps and his debut form back in the spring has worked out particularly well.
Thrice-raced maiden. 66/1, fourth of 5 in minor event at this C&D (AW) 78 days ago, ridden over 3f out and making little impression. Needs to bounce back with cheekpieces nlisted for handicap debut.
Ninth of 11 in handicap at Goodwood (11.2f, good to soft, 28/1) 23 days ago, making little impression. That was his first start for 4 months but he does need to step up plenty on that to play a part here.
C&D winner. 5/2, sixth of 8 in handicap at this course (15.8f, AW). Off 108 days. Back down in trip. Blinkers back on.

Forecasts
Sonnerie Power (5/2), Genesius (16/5), Canterbury Bell (4/1), Appier (9/2), Greek Flame (7/1), Byker (22/1), Reeceltic (33/1), Ballet Blanc (66/1), Bobby Kennedy (66/1)
SONNERIE POWER has shown definite signs of promise in a trio of novice events spread over 7 months and, representing a powerful stable that continues in fine form, he could be the way to go on handicap debut with the prospect of more to come. Byker is another handicap debutant of interest, not least on his early-season form, and is worth a look. Greek Flame and Appier complete the shortlist.
