Ceolwulf⁶⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Craig Nichol| T: Chris McSharry| OR: 103

Fair form in bumpers and positive first go hurdling when second at Sedgefield in February. Below that level both starts since, though.

Form: 42323-8

Country Queen²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: S Bowen| T: G Elliott

4/5

Fair bumper winner. Quickly dispelled a fall over hurdles when staying on to lead near the finish in a KIlbeggan maiden (19f) 20 days ago, suited by the way the race developed. Drop back in trip not sure to suit but she's still the one to beat.

Form: 521F1

Having A Barney²⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M Walford

33/1

Showed only modest form in a couple of weak winter bumpers for Ben Clarke and looked one for later on well held on Cartmel hurdling/stable debut 24 days ago.

Form: 43-4

Jet Legs¹⁷¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Callum Bewley| T: M Todhunter

15/2

Slipped up on his sole outing in Irish points but was much improved from hurdling debut when second in 6-runner novice at Kelso (18.1f) in April, closing all way to line. Drop in trip not sure to suit but open to further progress.

Form: S62-

Magic Mike^h1⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Danny McMenamin| T: Paul Robson

50/1

Made frame second start in points and Irish bumper efforts for John Halley weren't devoid of promise but offered little sent hurdling for new yard at Kelso last week. Back down in trip. Hooded for 1st time.

Form: 94-656

Mrindependant^t¹³⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: S Mulqueen| T: M A Barnes

250/1

Well beaten in a brace of bumpers and fared no better tried hurdling after 7 months off at Sedgefield in May.

Form: 70-6

Our Marty¹⁸⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell

11/2

Placed on the first 2 of 3 starts in bumpers and should have a future over jumps.

Form: 236-

The Kniphand¹³⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies

11/4

Fair form when runner-up both starts in bumpers, so looks an interesting hurdling debutant for a yard that targets this meeting.

Form: 2-2

Non-Runners

Masrur⁵¹

Weight: 11-0| Age: 7

T: S R B Crawford J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Country Queen (4/5), The Kniphand (11/4), Our Marty (11/2), Jet Legs (15/2), Ceolwulf (14/1), Masrur (20/1), Having A Barney (33/1), Magic Mike (50/1), Mrindependant (250/1)

THE KNIPHAND showed plenty when runner-up on both his starts in bumpers and could go one better on this switch to hurdling, especially as standard-setter Country Queen isn't sure to be suited by this drop back in trip. Jet Legs is open to further improvement and can prove best of the rest.
