Scored at Ayr in June and has remained in good form subsequently, albeit while leaving the impression that the handicapper has him about right.
Resumed winning ways in 1¾m handicap at Goodwood in May. Just as good when fourth of 17 in Old Newton Cup at Haydock 6 weeks later and much respected under Hollie Doyle.
Won at Epsom on reappearance in April and mostly good efforts since, including second over 2m at Ascot on Shergar Cup day. No reason why he won't be competitive again.
Wide-margin winner over 1¾m at Redcar last autumn. Failed to build on that in 2 subsequent starts in 2021 but this 5-y-o is still relatively unexposed and could be capable of getting involved if ready to roll after 9 months off. Also hooded first time.
Won back to back at York (1¾m) and Chester this summer. Last 2 runs only respectable, though, and does need a bit more from this mark.
Partnered by Danny Tudhope when a comfortable winner at Musselburgh and Redcar (1¾m) at the end of August. Another 5 lb higher in a deeper race now but can't be discounted in his current mood.
Won over this trip at Musselburgh last month and very good second of 15 in Lanark Bell at Hamilton since. Nudged up 3 lb for that but he's yet another who can't be discounted.
Scored at Goodwood in June and arrives on the back of 3 successive runner-up efforts, including twice within 24 hrs at Newmarket a fortnight ago. This durable sort is likely to give another good account.
Four-time winner for Marco Botti, the latest over 2m at Kempton in January. First run for new yard when length fourth of 10 to Themaxwecan at Ascot (2m) 5 weeks ago. Has a first-time tongue strap added to his usual blinkers.
Third small-field win of the campaign when seeing off 4 rivals at Salisbury (1¾m, good to firm) 6 weeks ago. Up 4 lb in a much more competitive scenario now so he will require a career best to follow up.

Jamie Spencer got a good tune out of THEMAXWECAN at Ascot and it might be worth siding with this 6-y-o again under Connor Beasley as he remains well treated on the pick of last year's form. Inchicore and HMS President head the dangers in a race where it's possible to make a case for pretty much everything.
