Winner of a Sedgefield maiden hurdle back in October 2020. Too free when eventually pulled up on latest start over timber in March and patchy form on the Flat since, so he's not one to be confident about on this chase debut.

Multiple hurdles winner who landed back-to-back novice chases at Cartmel and this course in May/June. Below par the last twice, but it wouldn't be a major surprise were he to get back on track in this contest.

In good heart over hurdles in recent months, winning 2m novice events here and at Uttoxeter. Clearly going the right way and will surely go close on debut in this sphere if his jumping passes the test.

Landed back-to-back 17f handicap chases at Sedgefield during the spring, and added to his tally when nailing an in-form rival close home over that C&D recently. Obvious claims having gone up just 1 lb.

Progressive over hurdles this summer, ONWARD ROUTE appeals as the type to make his mark in this sphere and he shades preference ahead of First Revolution, who recently added another Sedgefield handicap chase to his haul. Saint Arvans shouldn't be written off, despite failing to fire on his last two starts, but Lord Torranaga looks up against it under top-weight on his chase debut.
