In good nick on Flat and over hurdles earlier in the year and went well for a long way when seventh of 18 in handicap (13/2) at this course (11.8f, good) in May. Absent since but he's lurking on a handy mark returned to this shorter trip.
Confirmed promise of previous run when opening account for the season with a bit to spare at Ayr (10f) early on last month. Not disgraced when close-up seventh of 14 at Newcastle (10f) 10 days ago and each-way claims in an open-looking affair.
Built on reappearance effort when bolting up in class 5 company at Haydock (10f) in June. That wasn't missed by the assessor but he's ran with credit both starts on turf/AW subsequently. Not out of things.
Shaped well when third in Pontefract listed event in June but has been below her best in handicaps since, albeit not seen to best effect having been dropped out in a steadily-run affair at Hamilton 9 days ago. Still, others make more appeal.
4-y-o who improved on recent efforts from sliding mark when taking 6-runner handicap at Redcar (10f, good to firm, 5/1) 8 days ago, his change of pace proving decisive. Claims if replicating that back in this stronger company.
Hamilton novice winner (at 6f) last summer who has hit the frame in a couple of handicaps at up to 1m earlier this term. Strictly below best in recent outings though and step up to 10f needs to have positive effect now.
Improver in 2020, his 2 victories coming here (latterly in this over C&D). However, seen only 4 times since, easy to back and some way below best at Ripon (9.8f) 5 weeks ago.
Improved model this term, off the mark at Hamilton (8.3f) in June and stepping up further when going in again at that venue in July. Just failed to get up at Leicester (8.2f) 17 days ago and not discounted in this form now tackling longer trip.
Maiden who ran creditably in a couple of early-season handicaps at around this trip, not seen to best effect when fifth in London Gold Cup in May. Better than bare result would indicate both starts since and he's not one to write off in refitted hood having been gelded.
Steadily gone the right way and showed a good attitude to open his account at Redcar (10f) in July. Good third in competitive Haydock handicap next time and raced keener than ideal when fourth of 5 in handicap at Beverley (9.9f, good to firm) 8 days ago. Not ruled out.
Latest win at Hamilton (9f) in June. 13/2, creditable 1½ lengths second of 7 to Highwaygrey in handicap at Ayr (10f, good) 29 days ago, no match for winner. 4 lb better off with that rival now and each-way claims in present groove.
In good form on AW/turf earlier this year but losing run is mounting up and recent efforts haven't been anywhere near so inspiring.
Fairly low-mileage 3-y-o who showed improved form in line with step up in trip when winning 8-runner handicap at Haydock (10.4f, good) 4 weeks ago, leading inside final 1f and staying on well. Runner-up/third have both tasted success since and he's of firm interest.
Maiden who has largely performed with credit in handicaps over shorter this campaign, 5 lengths fifth of 9 over 7f here in July. Takes a marked step up in trip now.
Three-time winner on AW for Brian Ellison during 2021. Operating a notch below best around the turn of the year and probably best watched now starting out for new yard.

SAMUEL SPADE took a step forward up in trip when off the mark at Haydock 4 weeks ago. That form has substance with both the second and third having tasted success since and David O'Meara's 3-y-o may well have more to offer. Mr Big Stuff is shaping up better than his form figures suggest and is feared, along with Eeetee, Forgivable and Shaladar.
