Never figured in a Pontefract novice (6f, heavy) on debut last October but proved a different proposition when taking a Redcar maiden (7f) at odds of 40/1 on return 16 days ago. Never looked the finished article then and likely he can improve further.

Showed little in pair of bumpers during the spring and similarly offered little when last of 10 in minor event at Chelmsford (10f) on Flat debut in July.

Once-raced maiden. 66/1, showed only greenness when eighth of 12 in minor event at Chelmsford (6f) on debut 29 days ago. This should reveal more.

Twice-raced maiden. 17/2, failed to improve from debut effort when last of 3 in minor event at Yarmouth (6f, good) 18 days ago, weakening final 1f. Still, claims of hitting the frame in an ordinary contest.

Intrinsic gelding. Eighth of 12 in minor event at Newcastle (7.1f, 50/1) on debut 59 days ago, running green and never involved. Likely longer-term project on that evidence.

Fair gelding. 9/1, produced best effort yet granted run of the race when second of 9 in handicap at Redcar (1m, good to firm) 16 days ago, staying on. No surprise to see him give it a good shot from the front again.

Lightly-raced maiden. 5/2, excellent second of 8 in maiden at Chepstow (8.1f, good to firm) 63 days ago, headed final 1f but pulling well clear of the remainder. Solid claims back on all weather.

Twice-raced maiden. Last of 10 in minor event (50/1) at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 46 days ago. Easy enough to look elsewhere.

6,000 gns yearling, Havana Gold filly. Tongue strap on, eighth of 10 in minor event at Wolverhampton (8.6f, 25/1) on debut 6 days ago, never a threat. Blinkers quickly reached for.
