Is a likeable type who looks better than ever at present and added to his 2 wins here last season when landing 13-runner C&D handicap (soft) 20 days ago, staying on to lead final 50 yds. Stall 11 not ideal but seems sure to go well again.
Haydock winner in April and even better form when going in at Thirsk and over C&D in May. However, has been below his best both outings since.
Ended long losing run in 9-runner handicap at Musselburgh (7.2f, good to firm) in June, staying on to lead close home. Ran at least as well when second in a valuable Galway handicap since and ought to give another good account.
Landed a pair of 1m handicaps at Yarmouth/Nottingham in the spring but seems to have gone off the boil, only fifth in 6-runner handicap at Ffos Las (7.4f) last time. Needs to get back on track.
Fair 1m juvenile winner but has made little impact this year in listed/pattern company and fared no better in a first-time tongue strap on handicap/stable debut here last time. Enough to prove at present.
Useful sort who was perked up by blinkers when second at Newmarket in July. Not quite in same form back there last time but still interesting from this mark on his peak 2021 form.
Has yet to build on an encouraging reappearance at York in June but looked back in form when fifth of 18 in 7f Goodwood handicap 24 days ago, nearest at the finish. Has dipped below his last winning mark and must enter the reckoning.
Shamardal gelding who landed a match with the minimum of fuss at Brighton (7f) in June and built on that effort when runner-up at Newmarket (1m) next time. Not disgraced under a good claimer subsequently but his current mark demands a bit more.
Course winner who bounced back to his best when 1¼ lengths third of 13 to Fools Rush In in handicap at this C&D (soft) 20 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. Respected off same mark despite poor draw.
Reacted well to a positive ride when off the mark for the season at Redcar in June. Ran creditably under a 5 lb penalty at Carlisle next time but has been below form since.
Developed into a useful performer on AW at the end of 2021, winning 3 times over 6f/7f at Chelmsford. However, failed to meet expectations off his much lower turf mark after 7 months off at Carlisle recently.

FOOLS RUSH IN is a likeable type who arrives here at the top of his game, so he gets the nod to overcome a less-than-deal draw and land this race for a second year running. On A Session, Paws For Thought and Bullace are a trio of potential threats in a competitive handicap.
