Speedily-bred sort who confirmed debut promise when running out a good winner of an 11-runner Catterick novice (6f) 23 days ago, soon in front and in command final 1f. This tougher under a penalty but he's open to further improvement.
Lope De Vega colt who was still rough around the edges but stepped up on debut form and beaten only by a potentially smart newcomer in a Haydock novice (7f) 43 days ago. Likely to progress again and very much of interest.
Once-raced maiden. 22/1, last of 11 in minor event at Carlisle (5.8f, good to firm) on debut 51 days ago, soon off bridle and always behind. Looks one for the longer-term.
Foaled February 8. 125,000 gns yearling, Farhh colt. Dam, 2-y-o 5f winner, half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f/7f winner (stayed 1½m) Arthur Kitt out of useful 2-y-o 5f winner Ceiling Kitty. Holds some fancy entries and he's a newcomer well worthy of note.
Foaled March 7. 15,000 gns foal, £26,000 yearling, New Bay gelding. Half-brother to 7f-9f winner Lamprog. Dam maiden. Yard's newcomers usually come on for their first run.
Foaled January 30. 25,000 gns foal, £35,000 yearling, Churchill colt. Half-brother to 7f/1m winner Zenzero. Dam, 5f winner, half-sister to very smart 7f-8.3f winner Penitent and useful 2-y-o 5f-6f winner Supplicant
Twice-raced maiden. Sixth of 10 in minor event at Redcar (7f, good to firm, 12/1) 26 days ago, weakening 1f out having been too free. Rates a likely type for later on.
Promise when third on debut at Haydock (6f) in June. Not in same form when fifth of 11 in minor event at Carlisle (5.8f, good to firm) later that month but gelded subsequently and feasible to think he can get back on track.
Foaled March 25. €60,000 foal, €145,000 2-y-o, Kodiac colt. Half-brother to 1m winner Himalayan Beauty. Dam, 12.5f winner, closely related to winner up to 1¾m Parlour Games. Market should prove a useful guide on debut.
El Kabeir colt. Dam 5.7f-1m winner. Showed plenty of ability when fifth of 9 in maiden at Goodwood (7f, good to firm, 25/1) on debut 13 days ago, headway when hampered 1f out but keeping on. Rates a likely improver.
Harry Angel filly who showed some ability when sixth of 13 in minor event at York (7f, good to firm, 50/1) on debut 21 days ago, steady headway approaching final 1f and keeping on gradually. Another who may be more of a long-term project.

Forecasts
Captain Winters (2/1), Farhhfromforgotten (11/4), Runaholic (5/1), Novaportian (13/2), Reidh (15/2), Ohnojoe (14/1), Anjo Bonita (33/1), Golden Firefly (33/1), Headabovetherest (50/1), King Harry (66/1), Eyeofthebeholder (66/1)
This looks an intriguing novice with the vote in favour of CAPTAIN WINTERS. Kevin Ryan's charge progressed from his debut effort when finding only a potentially smart newcomer too strong at Haydock in June and with the prospect of even more to give he can come out on top. Farhhfromforgotten is a very interesting newcomer (holds Group-race entries) and is worth a look, with Runaholic, Ohnojoe and Novaportian completing the shortlist.
