Quirky maiden who hung badly right on final start for Kevin Ryan at Haydock 4 weeks ago. Previous Carlisle second suggests he has races in him and interesting up in trip for new yard.

Returned to form in first-time hood (replacing cheekpieces) at Chelmsford over this trip last week and would have won in another stride or 2. Back up in class/on turf but obvious chance off the same mark.

Forecasts

Mc'ted (11/4), Dion Baker (4/1), Hotspur Harry (9/2), Almaan (5/1), Chequer Square (5/1), Goddess Of Fire (5/1), Bakersboy (7/1), Beebee (28/1)

CHEQUER SQUARE would have won in another stride or 2 at Chelmsford last week and looks the way to go off the same mark. Dion Baker is interesting stepped up in trip for a new yard, while Bakersboy has a shout if on his game.
