C&D winner in May. Good second of 7 in handicap (4/1) at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) 25 days ago. Can make presence felt.
Seventeen runs since last win in 2020 but showed useful form in defeat last season and caught the eye from a poor draw when eighth of 20 at York last time. Down to a favourable mark and needs considering.
22/1, respectable sixth of 20 in handicap at York (5f, good to firm) 17 days ago, never nearer. On a winning mark. No shock if he makes a bold bid under Paula Muir.
Eleven runs since last win in 2021. Sixteenth of 20 in handicap at York (5f, good to firm, 11/1) 17 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Needs a couple of these to falter.
Nineteen runs since last win in 2020. 14/1 and visored first time, bit below form ninth of 20 in handicap at York (5f, good to firm) 17 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. This a stiffer 5f but others are still preferred.
Won twice at Musselburgh last year but has yet to fire this season.
Successful over 6f here last month on final start for Rebecca Menzies and in even better form for her new stable, winning twice at Ayr last week. Had plenty in hand there on Saturday evening so a further 5 lb penalty may not prevent him completing a quick hat-trick.
Won 5f Leicester maiden on her reappearance in May. Ran as if amiss (reported to have lost action) when last of 11 on Musselburgh handicap debut in June. Given time since. Much the least exposed in the line-up.
Winner at Musselburgh (5f) in May but has been well below par on his last 3 starts. Back on a winning mark as a result but has too much to prove at present.

Forecasts
Water Of Leith (7/4), Indian Sounds (4/1), Internationaldream (11/2), Ventura Flame (13/2), Sacred Jewel (14/1), Secretinthepark (16/1), Ginger Jam (18/1), Never Dark (18/1), John Kirkup (25/1)
WATER OF LEITH has looked back to his near-useful best since rejoining Jim Goldie and can complete a quick hat-trick, perhaps at the expense of Indian Sounds who is dangerously well treated and caught the eye from a poor draw at York last time. Ventura Flame arrives in good form and is another to consider.
