Thirteen runs since last win in 2020. 10/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, raced too freely when ninth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 26 days ago. Mark continues to tumble.
Successful twice at 6f upon joining John O'Shea earlier this year, latterly at Salisbury (6f) in April. Operating below best more recently but shaped well on first start for his new yard when a close sixth at Beverley 11 days ago. Fancied to feature.
Successful on final start with Rebecca Menzies at Carlisle and quickly regained the winning thread on just his second start back for this yard at this course (5f, good) 5 days ago, impressing with how he travelled into contention. Should be bang there under a penalty.
Latest win at Doncaster in June. 11/1, not discredited when fifth of 6 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, firm) 16 days ago. Should give another good account.
Cheekpieces on for 1st time, followed a below-par effort with an even worse one when fifth of 6 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good, 7/2) 15 days ago. Must bounce back.
Latest win at Redcar in June. 12/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at York (7f, good to firm) 14 days ago, unsuited by way race developed. Cheekpieces on 1st time.
Winner at Brighton in June. 9/4, proved to be a disappointment when third of 6 in claimer at Catterick (7f, good to firm) 17 days ago. First run for yard after leaving David Evans.
Winner at Hamilton in May but has gone the wrong way since and has a fair amount to prove at present.

WATER OF LEITH regained the winning thread on just his second start back with this yard over 5f here on Monday and, quickly turned out under a penalty, he's fancied to go in again. Signs were more positive for Majeski Man on first start for his new handler when a close sixth at Beverley 11 days ago so he may well emerge as the main threat, ahead of Jackmeister Rudi.

- Jackmeister Rudi16/1
