Stepped up on his reappearance/yard debut when third at Bath last month but unable to make any impact in Class 3 company there a week later. Mark continues to fall and though his losing run now stands at twelve, he should find this easier.

Not beaten far on his first 4 starts this year but his last couple of efforts have left him with temperament questions to answer. Has dropped to a handy mark if putting it all together and claimer takes off another 5 lb.
Ridden too aggressively on return/yard debut at Kempton in March and offered little back down in trip after 4 months off at same track just over 3 weeks ago. Cheekpieces reached for but tough to support on recent evidence.
Surprise debut winner at Newmarket last year but failed to kick on from that and both efforts last month have left him with plenty to prove. Easy to look elsewhere.
Scored 3 times at Wolverhampton in 2021 and fitted with a first-time visor, matched her best efforts this year when going down by a short head at Chepstow just under a fortnight ago. Nudged up 1 lb for that near miss and fancied to be in the mix with a 5 lb claimer taking over.
Opened his account on the turf at Haydock in May but seemingly has little in hand from present mark, fourth of 7 at Chepstow just over 3 weeks ago. A place is probably the best he can hope for.
Good second at Yarmouth on return and confirmed that form when third at Kempton last month. Not quite so good upped to 1m next time but back on track at former track 3 weeks ago. Could well have a say in proceedings easing a shade further in weights.
No impact at long odds in maidens/minor events last year and well held on handicap debut at Goodwood on reappearance last month. Best watched.

Forecasts
Must Be Royale (6/4), Fangorn (9/2), Port Noir (11/2), Eton College (11/2), Above It All (15/2), Bethersden Boy (11/1), Johnny Reb (33/1), You Are My World (40/1)
Cases can be made for a few of these but MUST BE ROYALE has been knocking at the door this term so Mick Appleby's charge gets the tentative nod to gain a breakthrough success with Hollie Doyle back on board. The main threat could come from Port Noir, who just failed to get up at Chepstow earlier this month and is sure to be popular with a 5 lb claimer booked, while Eton College is expected to fare better back in this company so he completes the shortlist.
