Some promise in bumpers and placed on two of his three completed starts in this sphere, albeit beaten a fair way on each occasion. Needs to raise his game now pitched into a handicap.
Off the mark in 2½m handicap here last spring and, following an unsuccessful stint over fences, he was a decent fourth back in this sphere at Hexham in May. Probably would've been placed but for falling at the last over C&D last time and not ruled out with Brian Hughes taking over.
Bagged handicap hurdles at Market Rasen and Carlisle in 2021, but out of sorts since and well held on recent return from a break at Uttoxeter. Unproven beyond 2½m and can only be watched at present.
Recorded first success for current trainer in handicap hurdle at Sedgefield in February. Just touched off on penultimate start there and shaped well over fences at Hexham last time, so there is good reason to anticipate a bold show.
Fair winner on Flat and did the job well back in this sphere at Musselburgh in February. Creditable third on first attempt at this trip over C&D last time and, now 2 lb lower, he has to enter calculations.
Point winner in April and put in a good shift when third back in this sphere over 3m here on debut for new yard last month. However, failed to reproduce that form back here next time and others are preferred.
Fairly useful maiden on Flat and improved on second attempt in handicaps in this sphere when runner-up over C&D last time (Idilico 7½ lengths adrift in third and now 3 lb better off). High on the shortlist.
Bits and pieces of fair form on the Flat and bettered previous efforts in this sphere when going close over 23.3f at Hexham. 1 lb rise for that near miss is fair and he's likely to be on the premises once again.
Yet to get his head in front, but twice placed for Ben Pauling earlier this year and well clear of the rest when chasing home an in-form rival on debut for new yard over C&D back from a break last month. One of the more likely winners.
Beaten a fair way both starts over hurdles in Ireland, but showed more spark when second in a six-runner Hexham maiden (2½m) on debut for new yard. Mark for this handicap bow looks fair and she's worth a second look.
No impact in three starts since going down the handicap route and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.
Back in the winning groove on second start following a wind op when seeing off Forever Forward and Idilico over C&D in May. However, he was 22 lengths adrift of runner-up Ange Endormi when third back here next time.
Winless following 13 attempts in this sphere and needs to find improvement from somewhere in order to land a blow in this contest.
Little in the way of worthwhile form since landing a juvenile hurdle back in 2019 and he's 6 lb 'wrong' at the weights. Now tried in a tongue strap.

Forecasts
Ange Endormi (3/1), Forever Forward (4/1), Thatbeatsbanagher (11/2), Idilico (13/2), Shaws Bridge (10/1), Dan Gun (11/1), Olympus (14/1), High Sheriff (16/1), Our Sam (20/1), Young Moloney (25/1), New Zealander (25/1), Near Kettering (28/1), Young William (33/1), Geyser (50/1)
Cases can be made for several of these, with THATBEATSBANAGHER top of the shortlist. The 8-y-o was beaten a whisker off this mark on his latest start in this sphere at Sedgefield in April and he subsequently performed well over fences at Hexham. Ange Endormi pulled well clear of the re-opposing Dan Gun when second over C&D last time and is second choice ahead of Forever Forward and Idilico.
