Won 3 of his 6 starts last season and resumed winning ways at Newmarket (6f) in May. Solid runner-up efforts next 2 starts and shaped much better than bare result when eleventh of 20 in handicap at York (6f) 9 days ago, undone by track position. Remains one to be interested in.
Isn't easy to predict but capitalised on marked drop in grade to end losing run stretching back to the 2019 Ayr Silver Cup at Haydock (7f) 17 days ago. Another drawn on wrong part of track at York subsequently and not out of things from this sort of mark.
Solid return when third over 1m here in April and he dispelled a couple of lesser efforts equipped with a hood (retained here) when second at Thirsk (7f) 19 days ago, headed final 50 yds. Needs to back that up now from 1 lb higher mark.
Defied market weakness to gain third course success over C&D in April, seen to good effect from the front but battling well and matched that level when second to a thriving sort at Carlisle in May. Below best at Musselburgh since and mark demands that bit more now.
Latest win at Hamilton (6f) in May. 12/1, creditable second of 10 in handicap at Carlisle (5.8f, good to firm) 11 days ago, keeping on final 50 yds. Worth another crack at this trip on balance.
Unreliable type (refused to race in June) but does at least arrive having run best race of the present campaign when sixth of 12 in handicap at this course (6f, good to firm) 7 days ago. However, task is to build on that now.
Dual winner at Wolverhampton (8.6f) earlier this year. 40/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, sixth of 9 in handicap at this course (8f, good to firm) 15 days ago, off bridle before most and beaten final 1f. Must bounce back.

Brazen Bolt (9/4), Golden Apollo (7/2), Diamondonthehill (4/1), Global Humor (13/2), Iris Dancer (8/1), Subjective Value (17/2), Merricourt (16/1), Judgment Call (16/1)
BRAZEN BOLT has developed into a really reliable performer and having not been seen to anything like best effect at York 9 days ago (first home in unfavoured group) he could be up to resuming winning ways here. Diamondonthehill, who bounced back to form at Thirsk recently, is a threat, as is Golden Apollo who was only one place behind the selection at York.
