Bounced back to form to land pair of 2m handicaps on AW/turf during the spring. Rise in weights has seemingly caught him out subsequently and he needs to pull out a little bit more now.
Steadily progressive 4-y-o who regained winning thread tackling this trip for the first time at Newmarket last month, asserting late on. Only 2 lb higher on the back of that and fancied to give another good account.
Dual 14f winner for Roger Charlton last summer wo cemented positive start for new stable when narrowly coming out on top at Salisbury (14f) last month. Should give another good account from 2 lb higher but this looks a little deeper.
Hurdles winner who opened his account on the Flat at Kempton (2m) in April and continued in good heart, keeping on for third behind re-opposing Bague D'or at Newmarket (14f) latest. Still, he may just find a couple too good again here.
Highland Reel colt who was all the better for debut when staying on strongly to land a Goodwood maiden (1m) in September. Not disgraced either start this term, not ideally placed when tenth in King George V handicap (12f) here last month. May have more to offer up in trip.
Mastercraftsman colt. Fairly useful maiden who hit the frame once more when keeping on for second behind Knightswood in a Chepstow novice (12f) last month. Longer trip may unlock some improvement now handicapping.

A winner of a Goodwood maiden on his final start at 2yrs, INVERNESS wasn't seen to best effect when midfield in King George V handicap at the Royal Meeting in June and, with potential still intact now his stamina is tested further, he could be worth siding with to come out on top. Fellow 3-y-o Berkshire Breeze is also of interest now upped in trip, whilst Bague d'Or can also be expected to feature.
