Progressive as a 3-y-o, scoring twice and signing off with a good third in a listed event at Newmarket. Improved again when fourth of 21 in C&D handicap on reappearance. More needed at this level but she may do better still.

Winner of handicap at Newmarket and over C&D this year, producing a smart performance when accounting for 9 rivals here latterly (good form). Didn't fire in listed company in between those victories but level of her handicap form is good enough to make an impact in this grade.

Pretty useful mare but hasn't been seen for 8 months and looks to be biting off a bit more than she can chew in this company.

Useful filly who ran up to her best when narrowly denied by Guilded in 5f Ayr listed race 3 weeks ago. A good bit more will be needed if she's to come out on top in this.

First success since her debut when leading close home in 6f Curragh listed race 13 days ago. Clearly in top form but this does demand more of her.

Smart filly who had a few of these in behind her, including Flotus and Gale Force Maya, when making a successful reappearance in 6f Newmarket listed race in April. Not up to Group 1 Platinum Jubilee at Royal Ascot but respected back in calmer waters.

Made it 3 wins from only 6 career starts when seeing off Nahaarr in a 6f Salisbury listed race last month. Lightly raced profile suggests she may do better again. On the shortlist.

Different proposition since ridden more prominently. Didn't fire behind Umm Kulthum on her Newmarket reappearance but she's quickly got back on track, finishing placed at Group 1 level for a second time when third to Perfect Power in Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot. Bold show likely.

Useful filly who reacted positively to cheekpieces (retained) when edging out Tenaya Canyon to win a 5f Ayr listed contest (good to soft) last month. In a stronger race now so she'll need improvement to follow up.

Half-sister to connections' 6f Group 1 winner Hello Youmzain and possesses lots of ability herself, running a cracker on only her third start when 3¾ lengths seventh (Flotus 2 lengths ahead in third) of 20 to Perfect Power in Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot (6f, good to firm) last month.

Listed winner during her time with Richard Hannon but her form is essentially useful at best and she looks to face a stiff task on this first outing for a new yard after a £250,000 sale last month.

Won Group 3 Princess Margaret at Ascot and Group 2 Lowther over C&D in excellent 2-y-o campaign but she was behind Flotus and Hala Hala Athmani when ninth of 20 to Perfect Power in Commonwealth Cup on her reappearance. Entitled to come on for the outing, though, and this obviously a bit easier.

Forecasts

Flotus (9/4), Zain Claudette (9/2), Benefit (11/2), Umm Kulthum (8/1), Hala Hala Athmani (8/1), Adaay To Remember (12/1), Gale Force Maya (12/1), Teresa Mendoza (14/1), Tenaya Canyon (33/1), Guilded (33/1), Symphony Perfect (40/1), Gellhorn (125/1)

Verdict

A very strong renewal. Recent Commonwealth Cup third FLOTUS has an excellent record when partnered by Silvestre De Sousa and gets the nod at a track which ought to play to her strengths but there are a few potential big threats, headed by Benefit, a lightly 3-y-o who may have even more to offer, and Umm Kulthum, who defeated the selection at Newmarket in the spring. The level Gale Force Maya achieved in a C&D handicap last time suggests she can also make her presence felt at pattern level.
