Useful ex-French 7f/1m winner who wasn't disgraced when making late gains when seventh of 15 in handicap at Epsom (7f, good) 14 days ago, caught further back than ideal. Mark has eased a little more and he's not one to write off.
Hasn't found winning easy in recent years but eased in weights and shaped as if in good form despite finishing tenth in the Thirsk Hunt Cup, meeting trouble and finishing with running left. One to bear in mind from this mark.
Had a fine 2021 campaign, gaining third success under today's pilot in a C&D event in September. Good fourth in Thirsk Hunt Cup on penultimate start and probably best not judged too harshly on latest Ripon fifth over 9.7f. Good showing anticipated.
Good second of 7 in handicap at Carlisle (7.8f, soft, 7/1) 32 days ago, sticking to task having been headed over 2f out. Should continue in form but he remains 3 lb above last winning mark.
2 wins from 3 runs this year. Latest win at Lingfield in April. Twelfth of 13 in handicap at Ascot (8f, good, 9/1) 42 days ago, possibly finding the race coming too soon. Remains low mileage so certainly not one to write off on turf.
Chester novice winner (7f) as a juvenile who may have needed return/yard debut when sixth of 7 in handicap (4/1) at Nottingham (8.3f, good) 16 days ago, weakenin final 1f. Entitled to be sharper now.
Three-time winner in 2020 but only twice raced last season (well below par) and understandably shaped as if needing first run for 16 months when seventh of 8 at Ripon (9.7f) 3 weeks ago. This promises to reveal more.

Forecasts
Trais Fluors (9/4), Darkness (10/3), Cassy O (4/1), Copper And Five (11/2), Court Of Session (17/2), Lady Caroline (10/1), Amadeus Grey (33/1)
Claims can be made for most here with the vote narrowly in favour of TRAIS FLUORS. Mick Channon's 8-y-o has caught the eye on each of his 2 starts so far this campaign, getting no sort of run but finishing with plenty of running left when tenth in the Thirsk Hunt Cup. He gets the nod from what rates a workable mark. Copper And Five and Cassy O may emerge as the chief dangers.
