Fair form but he does look tricky. 7/2, respectable third of 4 in handicap at Yarmouth (14f, soft) 13 days ago, carrying his head awkwardly under pressure. Otrhers preferred for the win again.

Three AW towards the end of 2021. Also successful on turf earlier in career but hard to derive many positives from his 2 runs back on the grass this spring.
Doubled up in 1½m Flat handicaps last summer. Also successful on hurdle debut in September. His subsequent efforts in that sphere have been a touch underwhelming (20 lengths second of 4 latest) but still respected back on the Flat.
Dead-heated on 11f Kempton handicap debut last autumn. Has disappointingly failed to build on that since and was well held when tackling turf for the first time on his Newbury reappearance a month ago. First-time blinkers will need to make a difference.
Won this race 12 months ago. 4/1, creditable fifth of 7 over C&D (good) 12 days ago. Back to last year's successful mark and could make a bold bid to defend her crown.
Remains a maiden after 16 runs. Failed to build on the promise of previous run when third of 4 on AW debut at Wolverhampton 3 weeks ago in this headgear but perhaps this return to turf will help.

ALPINE STROLL really ought to have a race like this in him and might be worth one final chance back on turf. Cherry Cola is back to the same mark as when winning this last year so it would be no surprise to see her make a bold bid. George Bancroft hasn't let the world alight over hurdles lately but the fact he won his last 2 Flat starts last year makes him a dangerous one to discount back on the level.
