Showed promise in maiden hurdles over shorter trips at Ludlow and Wincanton earlier this year. Moving up in trip here should be right up his street and a bold show is very much on the cards.

Plenty of appeal pedigree-wise prior to his debut in a 2m bumper here last month, but offered little in the race itself. All things considered, it's reasonable to expect him to leave that form well behind in time.

Poor form in a brace of bumpers for Debra Hamer in 2020. Makes hurdle/stable debut in a first-time hood and can only be watched unless the market suggests otherwise.

Bumper winner in 2019 but well held both starts over hurdles for Stuart Kittow the following year. Absent since and he can only be watched starting out for new yard here.

Maiden pointer who was beaten a long way on Rules debut in a Newton Abbot maiden hurdle (21.6f).

Was in the process of showing improved form when running out after being carried left approaching the second-last at Newton Abbot (18.5f, good). Looked the most likely winner prior to that mishap and he has to enter calculations.

Encouraging start to his career when second in a 13-runner French claiming hurdle (17.4f) on debut in February. Since joined a respected yard and he's one to consider here with improvement on the cards.

Out of a French hurdle winner and offered something to work on when fifth in a Ludlow bumper on debut. Should have a future over hurdles, but others make more appeal on this occasion.

Behind stablemate Prince Cleni when last of 9 on his introduction in a Ludlow bumper. Probably more of a long-term prospect.

Offered precious little on her recent introduction in a Newton Abbot maiden hurdle, and she looks set for another struggle.

Forecasts

Biowavego (7/4), San Giovanni (9/4), Ike Sport (5/1), Imperial Lightning (17/2), Joe Kidd (12/1), Prince Cleni (20/1), Merchant House (20/1), Mr Craftsman (40/1), Strictlyasoldier (100/1), Take Me Dancing (150/1)

Verdict

This stiffer test promises to suit BIOWAVEGO and he is marginally preferred to French-import Ike Sport. This is by no means a two-horse race though, with San Giovanni respected on the back of his latest effort at Newton Abbot where he looked the most likely winner when running out at the second last.
