Twice a winner on the Flat (both on AW) for Simon Crisford but form over hurdles has been poor. Now qualified for handicaps at least.
Took advantage of much-reduced mark to belatedly open hurdles account at Newcastle (2½m) in April. Good placed efforts last 2 starts and ought to be thereabouts again.
Opened his account in this sphere at Market Rasen last May but out of sorts since the autumn and was too free back on the Flat for new yard in March. Back to that winning mark but others have more solid claims.
Showed promise in bumpers for Willie Mullins but yet to confirm that over hurdles for his current yard, well held in handicaps last 2 starts.
Ultimately well held on first appearance over hurdles since early-2018 at Southwell (15.8f). Ran a little better when seventh over C&D since but he's well into the veteran stage of his career.
Three Flat wins last year and before landing back to back handicap hurdles at Sedgefield/Southwell. Returned to hurdling with a creditable third at Market Rasen last month. Stamina possibly stretched back on the level since.
Hasn't tasted success since striking at Cartmel last summer. Now 16 lb below that winning mark but well held there 12 days ago.
C&D winner who also scored back-to-back at Sedgefield/Kelso last summer. Below par when last seen in the winter but could bounce back on return.
Finished third in handicaps on his last 3 starts last summer. Not so good at Bangor on return 4 weeks ago but shaped as if needing the run. Potentially on a handy mark.
Down in the weights and back on track to an extent this spring but drop back in trip looks a negative.

Forecasts
Bestiarius (11/4), Calliope (16/5), Major Snugfit (5/1), Cosheston (11/2), Dr Shirocco (7/1), Hats Off To Larry (12/1), Archive (16/1), Strong Team (28/1), Arij (33/1), Derracrin (50/1)
COSHESTON shaped as if better for the run after 8 months off at Bangor and is lurking on a handy mark if building on that. Major Snugfit and Bestiarius are solid alternatives.
