Produced his best effort yet when landing a Plumpton handicap chase (19.8f, good) last month, despite a bad mistake at the third-last. The second scored next time, which makes a 6 lb rise all the more tolerable, and he's a big player.

Irish import who won his first 3 starts for this yard in 2020 (all over hurdles), including Market Rasen listed handicap. No impact both starts since returning from an 18-month absence in April, though, and hard to know what to expect of him on this chase debut.
Rather lost his way in April/May (pulled up three times on the bounce), but returned to form with cheekpieces enlisted when chasing home a progressive type at Uttoxeter (22.5f, good) on Thursday. Bold show likely if turned out again quickly.
In fine form during the autumn, completing the hat-trick at Kelso (17f, good) in October. Failed to fire back from a break over hurdles last month, but that spin will have blown away the cobwebs and he's respected back in this sphere with cheekpieces refitted.
Fairly useful ex-French chaser who reportedly broke a blood vessel when pulled up in a first-time tongue strap (retained) on debut for new yard at Haydock (16.3f, good to soft). Since undergone a wind op.
Winner of two of his first three starts over fences and while he failed to land a blow when returning from a break at Southwell (24.3f, good), this 7-y-o is dangerous to discount back down in trip here with that run under his belt.

Forecasts
El Paso Wood (5/2), Dreamsundermyfeet (5/2), Royal Ruby (10/3), Northern Bound (11/2), Marine One (7/1), Phil The Thrill (40/1)
Ben Pauling has his string in good order and NORTHERN BOUND could help continue the yard's good run of form. The 8-y-o is entitled to come on for last month's reappearance spin over hurdles (first start for five months) and is likely to be seen in an altogether better light back in this sphere with cheekpieces refitted. Royal Ruby is bound to be popular on the back of his Plumpton success, but El Paso Wood will be the main danger if he takes his chance.
