Built on his reappearance when showing a nice turn of foot to win course handicap (AW) earlier this month and better than ever when following up at Sandown last Thursday. Jockey's claim negates more than half of a 5 lb penalty so he has leading claims of completing the hat-trick.

7/2, proved to be a disappointment when fifth of 6 in handicap at this venue (12f, AW) 9 days ago. Handicapper dropped him a further 3 lb so worth a market check with Buick booked to ride.
|
Yet to fire this season, seventh of 8 in handicap at Windsor (10f, good to firm) 5 weeks ago, beaten when hampered approaching final 1f. Fair bit to prove at present.
|
5/1, looked rusty after 7 months off when last of 5 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f) 25 days ago. Mark eases a shade and no surprise to see him come on from that outing.
|
Ran creditably in first-time hood after 5 months off when third of 7 in handicap (3/1) at this venue (8f, AW) 32 days ago. Up in trip.
|
2 wins from 5 runs this year. 6/1, won 9-runner handicap at Nottingham (10.2f, good) 23 days ago, staying on to lead close home. Retains scope on old form so he's respected in hat-trick bid.
|
C&D winner. 11/4, bit below the level of his first 2 runs back when fourth of 7 in handicap at Windsor (10f, good to firm) 21 days ago. Others more persuasive.

Forecasts
The Whipmaster (5/6), Carp Kid (5/1), Pledge Of Honour (10/1), The Thunderer (10/1), Cu Chulainn (10/1), Chief Of Staff (11/1), Fast Steps (14/1)
Cases can be made for most but THE WHIPMASTER has raised his game in recent weeks so he can bring up the hat-trick with Rhys Clutterbuck's claim negating most of his penalty for Sandown. Pledge Of Honour is another chasing a hat-trick so Dean Ivory's charge is feared most having been competitive from marks in the high 70s last year. Chief Of Staff can fill out third spot.
- Pledge Of Honour10/1
- Chief Of Staff11/1
