Given a chance by the handicapper and bounced back to his best when just failing at Hexham 3 weeks ago. Claims with a repeat.
Some creditable efforts at up to 21f this spring before recording first win over fences at Southwell 10 days ago under this rider. That wasn't much of a race but remains unexposed at this sort of trip.
Not disgraced after 3 months off when fourth of 9 in handicap chase at Worcester on debut over fences last summer but failed to back that up there following month and off since (left Ben Pauling and made frame 2 of 3 starts in points, latest Dec 2021).
Finally got off the mark when bagging a 27f handicap chase at Sedgefield in October. That's his sole success from 36 starts overall, though had excuses the last twice.
Justified support as he won his first race of any description at Sedgefield earlier this month, a longer trip, fitting of blinkers and the booking of Hughes helping to complete the jigsaw. Same situation here so taken to follow up.
Winner of chase at Kelso in January and back to form when second of 10 in handicap chase (12/1) at Sedgefield (26.9f, soft) last month. Poor effort back hurdling 11 days ago.
Regressive for Noel Meade but ran one of better races since joining this yard when runner-up at Perth last time but he's far from certain to be in the same form here.
Yet to register a victory and recent efforts hardly offer much encouragement that that is about to change. Makes chase debut. Up in trip.
In-and-out form over hurdles since going close on second chase start at Sedgefield in January and remains with potential in this sphere.
Failed to progress over hurdles and has struggled over fences this season for current connections. Very hard to make a case for from out of the handicap.

Forecasts
Dee Star (15/8), Ballycorr (7/2), Well Cliche (9/2), Goldrapper (6/1), To The Limit (8/1), Loughermore (9/1), Tanora (9/1), Justforjames (10/1), Henry Brown (12/1), Black Market (20/1), Grey Atlantic Way (22/1), Conceal (33/1), Nyoufsea (125/1)
BALLYCORR justified support when beating a couple of subsequent winners under this rider at Sedgefield earlier this month, so is taken to defy an 11 lb rise. Loughermore, Well Cliche and Tanora all remain unexposed over fences so they head the dangers.
