Smart chaser at best who has been finding his way for David Pipe after an 11-month absence. Good second returned to a more suitable trip Uttoxeter in April before going one better off the same mark at Newton Abbot. Big player up 4 lb.
Creditable fourth in the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham in January. Found nothing off the bridle at Newbury next time but back on track following another breathing op when third at Fakenham (24.2f) 40 days ago. Blinkers on for 1st time.
Most progressive in 2021, completing 4-timer in a C&D handicap in August. Reappears from a 7 lb higher mark but clearly goes well at this track and needs taking seriously.
Largely consistent type who ran upped in trip when third in Fakenham handicap chase (29.1f) 25 days ago, just worried out of it late on. Player nudged up 2 lb.

It was hard not to be impressed by the way HEREDITARY RULE jumped and travelled at Ayr last time, so this fast-improving chaser gets the vote to complete the hat-trick. Romain de Senam confirmed his return to form when scoring at Newton Abbot recently and should go well again from a 4 lb higher mark. Course-specialist Dressedforsuccess is also respected despite returning from a 9-month absence.
