Useful hurdles winner. Twice-raced on Flat. 14/1, second of 5 in minor event at Sandown (10f, good to firm) 8 days ago. Looks competitive on form.
Outran odds of 250/1 when runner-up in Curragh maiden only other Flat start. Fair winning form in novice hurdles this spring, running to form when second at Ludlow earlier this month. Player.
Once-raced gelding. 50/1, last of 10 in minor event at Newbury (8f, heavy) on debut. Off 7 months. Up in trip.
Fairly useful colt. Placed on 6 of 7 Flat runs, including when third of 12 in maiden at Nottingham (10.2f, good to firm) 41 days ago. May have more to come over this trip and he ranks highly.
20,000 gns foal, 16,000 gns yearling, Brother to smart 1¼m-1½m winner Mutamakina and half-brother to several winners, including useful 7f/1m winner Floriss. Sale price went down as yearling and yard not associated with debut winnets.
Promising sort. 9/4, looked to be getting the hang of things when second of 10 in maiden at Lingfield (8f, AW). Off 178 days. Up in trip. Should progress.
Once-raced colt. Sixth of 13 in minor event (50/1) at Kempton (8f) on debut. Off 6 months. Up in trip. First run for yard after leaving Hugo Palmer. Should improve.
Sea The Stars colt. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 9f (Balanchine) Summer Romance. Interesting pedigree and yard can ready one to win on debut, though this looks a fairly useful event.
Thrice-raced filly. Seen to good effect when chasing home Emily Upjohn at Sandown but could only manage sixth of 9 in maiden (7/2) at Ascot (10f, good) 21 days ago. Best form puts her in the mix, though.
Twice-raced filly. Last in a pair of minor events, both earlier this month. Can't be fancied up in trip.

Forecasts
King Of Ice (9/4), Ajero (3/1), Gaius (4/1), Follow That Star (5/1), Coolnaugh Haze (11/1), Ochil House (12/1), Sea The Casper (18/1), Just Josh (125/1), Desert William (150/1), Miss Metropolitan (200/1)
A fascinating maiden, and perhaps an opportunity for GAIUS to finally get his head in front. Richard Hannon's colt is bred to be at his best over middle distances and made a pleasing return at Nottingham. Potential dangers are numerous, with useful hurdler Ajero and the returning King of Ice perhaps likeliest to give the selection most trouble.
