11/2, good fourth of 13 in handicap at Hamilton (13.1f, good to firm) 15 days ago, faring best of those ridden prominently. Blinkers on 1st time and while he's still a maiden following 15 attempts, a bold show is on the cards.

Course winner. Creditable second of 7 in handicap (9/2) at Chepstow (12f, good to firm) 13 days ago, conceding first run. Should make his presence felt.
|
15/2, tenth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (12.4f). Off 6 months and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.
|
Course winner. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. 7/1, career best when winning 7-runner handicap at Newcastle (12.4f) 13 days ago. 3 lb rise fair enough and while another personal best is probably needed, he has to be taken seriously.

Forecasts
Alpine Stroll (6/4), Autonomy (15/8), Lopes Dancer (5/2), Eagle One (11/4), Harmonious (14/1)
This looks a good opportunity for ALPINE STROLL to belatedly shed his maiden tag having put in a good shift in a higher-grade handicap than this at Hamilton recently. He did well under the circumstances on that occasion and is now equipped with blinkers. Though not getting any younger, Lopes Dancer was successful last time and has claims, but Eagle One is second choice on the back of his solid effort at Chepstow. The hat-trick seeking Autonomy also merits respect.
