50,000 gns yearling who showed plenty when runner-up in a Newmarket maiden (5f) on debut 3 weeks ago, running green but keeping on. Should have derived plenty from that and must be respected.

Very green but clearly getting the idea late on when 2 lengths fourth of 9 in a Beverley novice (5f) 12 days ago, keeping on well. Entitled to do better.

Forecasts

Walbank (2/7), Minnesota Lad (15/2), Beautiful Sunrise (8/1), Professor Pesca (14/1)

Verdict

A 525,000 gns purchase at the Craven Breeze-Ups, WALBANK produced a highly-promising first effort when runner-up to another exciting prospect at Ascot recently and can come out on top with the prospect of plenty more to come. The trio in opposition shaped well on their respective debuts also, with Beautiful Sunrise fancied to emerge as the chief threat here.
