Cheffins Mares' Handicap Hurdle

Off time: 17:47 | Winning time: 3m 47.50s

Lady Reset^p,t³

Age: 6| Weight: 12-0| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe| OR: 101| D

8/13

Was in fine form on the Flat/over hurdles throughout 2021/22, winning 5 times, and has filled the runners-up spot under both codes upon returning in recent weeks, including at Doncaster on Saturday. She's well worth a look again here.

Form: 75112-2

Dylan's Sea Song^h²²⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-13| J: James Davies| T: M D I Usher| OR: 100| CD

12/1

Successful twice last summer, latterly from a 2 lb lower mark at Stratford (18.6f) in July. Lesser efforts final 2 starts but freshened up since and she's not dismissed lightly on return.

Form: 713167-

Brooklyn Belle³⁶³

Age: 7| Weight: 10-12| J: Kielan Woods| T: A M Hales| OR: 85

33/1

Minor promise in bumpers/over hurdles for Seamus Mullins/Mick Easterby but absent since finishing last of 6 in a mares' maiden at Southwell 12 months ago. Market best guide now handicapping for new yard.

Form: 48U85/6-

Ince¹²

Age: 5| Weight: 10-11| J: C Brace| T: F O'Brien| OR: 84

9/1

Fair performer on Flat in France who was undone by mistakes in maiden/novice hurdles upon joining present stable last year. Better in that department when fifth in a Worcester handicap (2m) on return and possible she can build on that from this sort of mark.

Form: 667-5

Little Jessture^h,t¹³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-6| J: Ben Jones| T: Ben Clarke| OR: 79

3/1

Bumper winner on debut back in 2020. Little to shout about thereafter on Flat/over hurdles but much more like it (following wind op) when runner-up on handicap bow at Newton Abbot (18.5f) 2 weeks ago. Possibilities with a repeat.

Form: 13/734-2

Forecasts

Lady Reset (8/13), Little Jessture (3/1), Ince (9/1), Dylan's Sea Song (12/1), Brooklyn Belle (33/1)

LITTLE JESSTURE took a marked step back in the right direction on handicap debut/following a wind op when runner-up at Newton Abbot 2 weeks ago and given she's low-mileage from a handicapping perspective, could be worth chancing to build on that. Lady Reset is a model of consistency under both codes and feared most back over hurdles.
