Ken Meredith Memorial Day Handicap Chase

Off time: 14:55 | Winning time: 6m 16.00s

Joueur Bresilien^t⁴⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 12-2| J: Angus Cheleda⁽⁵⁾| T: Miss R Curtis| OR: 117| C

8/1

Unreliable hasn't really built upon his win at Stratford in March 2021, though would have placed when unseating late at Bangor 3 starts ago. Mark edging down but hard to have confidence in.

Jony Max^t²⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-4| J: Jack Tudor| T: Christian Williams| OR: 105| D

9/4

Won at Wincanton in December and improved further to score at Plumpton last month. 5 lb rise may not be enough to stop him in follow up bid.

Form: 221321-

Lord Bryan^p,t²⁹

Age: 11| Weight: 11-2| J: S Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR: 103| CD

5/2

Had dropped 18 lb below last winning mark when showing previously unseen gameness to score over C&D last month, Consistency never been his strong point but can't be dismissed.

Form: 35P821-

Gastara²⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: Sean Houlihan| T: R G Hawker| OR: 102

7/2

Already matched his hurdles form when second at Worcester on chase debut last month and very much appeals as the type with more to come over fences.

Form: 55/0P32-

Jobesgreen Lad^t³⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: J J Burke| T: T R George| OR: 102| BF

9/2

Won back-to-back events at Ludlow and Hereford in December/January but was slightly below form on return at Stratford last month. Player if stripping fitter for that.

Form: 721143-

Forecasts

Jony Max (9/4), Lord Bryan (5/2), Gastara (7/2), Jobesgreen Lad (9/2), Joueur Bresilien (8/1)

GASTARA made a promising start to his chasing career last time and is fancied to go one better here. Jony Max is a thriving sort and will surely give the selection lots of think about in his follow-up bid, whilst Jobesgreen Lad may prove best of the rest with a run under his belt.
