Fairly useful Flat winner who showed improved form over hurdles when making a successful handicap debut at Plumpton (15.9f) in March (in first-time visor). Too free when pulled up at Wincanton since and bounce back distinctly possible.

Bumper winner who hasn't gone without promise in a trio of maiden/novice hurdles upon joining present stable this spring. Entitled to hold more chance now handicapping and market support would need to be viewed positively.

Fair but temperamental handicapper on Flat, off the mark at Brighton in October. Didn't pull up any trees in a couple of juvenile hurdles late last year and never figured back on the Flat last month.

Doubled career tally at Stratford (18.6f) in April and not disgraced when third at Plumpton (17.7f) later last month, no extra late on having been pressed for the lead. Should give another good account.

Found some improvement to open her account in novice handicap at Newton Abbot (18.5f) last summer and best effort yet on back of 7 months off when runner-up back there 8 days ago. Possibilities with a repeat.

Limited sort who again finished well held operating from out of the weights at Uttoxeter (20f) when last seen in July. Others make greater appeal on return to action.

Showed her first form from 8 lb out of the weights when fifth at Plumpton (15.9f, good to soft) in March but failed to build on that at Exeter (18.5f) subsequently. Faces another stiff task from out of the weights.

Forecasts

Mickyh (2/1), Gibraltarian (5/1), Sword Beach (5/1), Good Time Ahead (11/2), Hit The Rocks (8/1), Grandee (8/1), Henry Box Brown (11/1), Spanish Hustle (20/1), Whatcoloristhewind (25/1), African Sun (28/1), Jellicle Jewel (40/1)

Verdict

A winner at Plumpton on his penultimate start, SWORD BEACH proved too free in an amateur riders' race at Wincanton subsequently. However, he remains on an appealing mark judged on his Flat form and could be worth chancing to get back on track partnered by Tom Cannon. Gibraltarian and Good Time Ahead are others to consider, whilst Henry Box Brown demands close market scrutiny on handicap bow.
