Promising individual. Second of 9 in minor event at Windsor (5.1f, good to firm, 10/1) on debut 16 days ago, slowly away. Open to improvement and looks the one to beat.

Twice-raced gelding. Seventh of 9 in minor event at Windsor (5.1f, good to firm, 11/2) 16 days ago. Big step forward needed if he's to play a part in the finish.

Once-raced filly. Fourth of 8 in maiden at Newmarket (5f, good, 11/1) on debut 12 days ago. That experience won't be wasted on her, but one or two of these seemingly possess greater potential.

Once-raced filly. Fifth of 9 in minor event (15/2) at Windsor (5.1f, good to firm) on debut 16 days ago. Fair bit to find with Rumstar on that evidence, but she represents a top 2-y-o yard and will be more street-wise this time.

Forecasts

Rumstar (6/5), Al Khazneh (2/1), New Hope Bullet (9/2), Swear (16/1), Fumbleinthejungle (22/1), What A Dude (40/1)

Verdict

RUMSTAR was unlucky not to make a winning start to his career at Windsor where he just failed to reel in an experienced rival, despite encountering traffic problems at a crucial stage. With improvement on the cards, he is taken to go one better here. Al Khazneh also made a promising debut at Leicester and is second choice ahead of Swear and New Hope Bullet.
