High-class chaser at best for Harry Whittington. However, has failed to finish off his 3 races for new yard having had 2 further breathing operations. Down in grade but question marks at present.

Right back on track when landing 20.5f handicap chase at Kempton in January but well held both starts since. Pulled up over hurdles at same course in March so needs to put those 2 efforts behind him.

Dual handicap chase winner in 2020/21, including over C&D. Ran to similar level when fourth here next time but below form on only 2 starts since dropped back in trip. Can bounce back in tongue tie.

Gained a fourth handicap win of a busy campaign when successful in 3-runner chase at Fontwell (17.8f) in March. Not in the same form back there (21.6f) 10 days later though. Back up in grade.

Forecasts

Eritage (9/4), Goa Lil (9/4), Falco Blitz (9/4), Rouge Vif (11/2)

Verdict

All arrive with something to prove but ERITAGE is a C&D winner so could bounce back here in a tongue tie for the first time. The 8-y-o has been below form on his last 2 starts dropped back in trip, but he remains unexposed at around this distance and can return to form. He is preferred to Falco Blitz who is back over fences, while Rouge Vif needs the drop in grade to spark a major turnaround.
