Excellent third of 12 in novice hurdle (40/1) at Newton Abbot (18.5f, good) 14 days ago. Up in trip for handicap debut and can't be taken lightly.
Has been unable to kick on from an eye-catching hurdling debut and, while not disgraced at Hereford last time, it's hard to place maximum faith in him after a break.
Promise on hurdles debut at Doncaster in December 2020 but little impact after. First run for 7 months.
Modest hurdler who isn't really progressing, so will need blinkers to perk him up if he's to make a serious impact.
13/2 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, career best when winning 10-runner handicap hurdle at Taunton (23.9f, good to soft) by 21 lengths 3 weeks ago. Got to enter calculations.
Held in bumper/ novice hurdles this year and opening mark doesn't look all that lenient.
No impact on these shores, but not one to write off on the pick of his French form from further-reduced mark. Blinkers back on.
Fair at best but hasn't been firing of late, so hard to fancy.
Had wind op before opening his account in 12-runner handicap hurdle at Chepstow earlier this month and wasn't discredited faced with a quick turnaround at Fontwell next time. Respected.
Second in a C&D handicap hurdle in September and, while he was pulled up at Southwell on his only start since, he can't be discounted with a tongue strap/cheekpieces back on.
Modest maiden but has recorded some creditable efforts in the frame since cheekpieces have been applied, including over C&D. Saddle slipped when favourite at Wincanton last time. Looks set for a big run.
Hinted at temperament in a couple of Stratford bumpers and hasn't offered a great deal over hurdles. He's up in trip for handicap debut with Sam Twiston-Davies booked, so he's worth a market check.
No show in novice hurdles but made more impact in handicaps the last twice, so he warrants respect in a race that lacks depth.
Modest maiden on Flat in France and hard to warm to judged on exploits for Stuart Edmunds/this yard more recently.
Dual winning pointer who hasn't offered a great deal under Rules but at least has cheekpieces now tried on handicap debut.

Forecasts
Heron Creek (7/2), Braganza Bay (9/2), Bolsover Bill (5/1), Gareth Cael (11/2), Getaway Cory (8/1), Train Hill (11/1), You Name Him (12/1), Landen Calling (14/1), Ladi Chala (22/1), Herecomeshogan (22/1), Kennack Bay (33/1), Paddy Husseys Taxi (33/1), Kotki (40/1), Hunky (50/1), Culverwell (100/1)
HERON CREEK scored easily on handicap debut then may have found the race coming too soon when only third at Fontwell the following week. Having been given more of a break, he gets the nod ahead of Bolsover Bill, who won by a wide margin at Taunton last time. Getaway Cory is also considered.
