Veteran who took advantage of much-reduced mark to belatedly open hurdles account at Newcastle (20.3f) earlier this month. Turned in a rare poor display at Perth 8 days ago and no easy task on these terms down in grade.
Successful twice during 2019/20 campaign and caught the eye on second start of that season over 16.2f at Newcastle in March, finishing with running left. Never figured at Southwell last time but worth noting if market vibes are positive down at selling level.
Scored twice over fences in 2019/20 but has been disappointing (made mistakes) since returning from a lengthy absence, blinkers failing to have desired effect at Bangor 3 weeks ago. Switch to hurdling/drop in grade may have a positive effect now, though.
Juvenile hurdle winner for Iain Jardine who arrives in good heart for present yard, creditable third of 10 at Southwell (3m) 8 days ago. Should give another good account with visor replacing cheekpieces.
Little to shout about in bumper/novice hurdles and again showed nothing when pulled up on handicap bow at Newcastle (20.3f) 3 weeks ago. Passed over here. Blinkered.
Fair hurdler for Gordon Elliott who has offered little in a couple of chase outings for present stable (reportedly bled on both occasions). On that basis, he's tough to assess returned to timber.
Fair form in bumpers and reached a similar level in novice/maiden hurdles last year. Not kicked on in handicaps subsequently but this drop in grade is an obvious plus now re-united with Brian Hughes. Worthy of a second look in first-time cheekpieces.

Forecasts
Kings Creek (5/2), Well Educated (11/4), Katpoli (7/2), Gennady (5/1), Bestiarius (6/1), Uncle Henry (22/1), Uncle Gez (200/1)
A leap of faith is required in supporting KATPOLI judged on his recent exploits over fences but he holds sound claims on these terms nevertheless eased considerably in grade/back over hurdles. Well Educated rates next best under Brian Hughes, ahead of Kings Creek.
