14/1

Ran no sort of race at Kelso (18.1f, heavy) when last seen in December, but she's usually reliable, so is the type to bounce back after a break/wind operation.

Form: 344647

Annies Prayer⁵⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish| OR: 89| BF

5/1

Maiden who had been shaping up quite well prior to a poor run at Wetherby in January. Well backed and disappointed for a second successive start at Carlisle, so has something to prove at present. Up in trip.

Creditable sixth of 11 in handicap hurdle (40/1) at Market Rasen (18.6f, good to soft) 20 days ago, possibly still needing the run. Not ruled out from easing mark.

Arcanja^p,t⁷⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-4| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: R Menzies| OR: 76

12/1

Runner-up twice in bumpers last season. Disappointing so far over hurdles, though suffered a tack issue when pulled up over C&D last time. Cheekpieces back on.

Form: 252-P5P

Redesdale Angel³³

Age: 4| Weight: 10-1| J: Craig Nichol| T: S Corbett| OR: 83

50/1

Well beaten in bumpers and similarly little in the way of promise in maiden/novice hurdles. Improvement needed now handicapping.

Form: 784646

Forecasts

Adherence (2/1), Annies Prayer (5/1), Goldrapper (13/2), Thatbeatsbanagher (8/1), Franks Fancy (11/1), Punta Prima (11/1), Rumble B (11/1), Arcanja (12/1), Calliope (14/1), Dis Donc (28/1), Redesdale Angel (50/1)

ADHERENCE stepped up on his stable debut when runner-up at Newton Abbot 25 days ago and remains well treated on old form following a 3 lb rise, so he gets the nod to go one better. Calliope appeals as the type to bounce back after a break, while Goldrapper possibly still needed the run last time and is another to consider from an easing mark.
