Likeable mare who has impressed over fences this term, winning a pair of mares' listed events before Christmas. No disgrace being unable to live with L'homme Presse on New Year's Day but not at her best when seventh in the Plate 4 weeks ago. Should find this much easier.

Did enough to win for the first time in 2 years at Leicester in February but never threatened in her follow up bid there 3 weeks later, left with too much too do. Not one for maximum faith so remains opposable on balance.

Fairly useful chaser who got back on track albeit in somewhat laboured fashion when third at Leopardstown early last month. Back in handicap company, this Irish-raider warrants plenty of respect.

Enjoying a very productive campaign, landing quick-fire hat-trick when landing a match at Wetherby (15f) in November. Had winning run ended at Newbury in December and back from a 4-month break and with her regular rider back on board, she holds every chance.

Forecasts

The Glancing Queen (8/13), Alice Avril (11/4), Darling Du Large (7/1), Cut The Mustard (12/1)

Verdict

Cases can be made for all the quartet but the verdict goes to THE GLANCING QUEEN. Alan King's mare has impressed over fences this term and she should find this much easier than when finishing mid-field in the Plate at the Festival 4 weeks ago. Gold Cup-winning combination Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore team up with Alice Avril and she shades the vote for second over Darling du Large.
