Thrice-raced colt. 10/11, second of 6 in minor event at Kempton (8f) 11 days ago, having run of race. Drop back in trip no bad thing and he'll have every chance here if reproducing the form of his near miss at Doncaster in the autumn.

Once-raced filly. Third of 8 in minor event at Newmarket (7f, soft, 9/1) on sole 2-y-o start in October. That wasn't a strong race by Newmarket standards, but the fourth home has won twice since and this filly is open to improvement.

Twice-raced filly. 28/1, sixth of 10 in minor event at Beverley (7.4f, good to soft). Off 6 months and she appeals as the type to make more of an impact when venturing down the handicap route.

Pastoral Pursuits filly. Dam, 1m-1¼m winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 2m Grey Britain. Doesn't appeal as a probable first-time-out winner on paper and probably best watched this time.

CAPUCHINERO made an encouraging start to her career at Newmarket in October and, with improvement on the cards, she is an appealing alternative to likely favourite Beluga Gold. The latter sets the standard judged on his 2-y-o efforts, but he failed to match those exploits on his recent reappearance at Kempton and there's an air of vulnerability about him. Thakuri is best of the rest, albeit by process of elimination rather than a vote of confidence.
