Half-brother to fair hurdler Godomar. Hooded for debut but offered something to work on when third in an Ayr bumper in October, staying on gradually. Disappointing at Newcastle since.

Forecasts

Doyen Du Bar (5/2), Spectacular Genius (5/2), Maughold Head (11/4), Mount Slemish (3/1), Kilbrainy (8/1), Diablo Loch (12/1), Pipers Cross (25/1), Tangiers (25/1), Och One More Gin (25/1), Couldntgivamonkeys (28/1), Rocky Hill (33/1), Fog On The Tyne (100/1), Haut Berry (125/1)

SPECTACULAR GENIUS will clearly stay further once tackling obstacles but there's no reason why he cannot win a bumper before that given the promise of his runner-up effort at Doncaster in February. Doyen du Bar has been off the track over a year having made a successful debut and is open to progress assuming all is well, with Maughold Head the pick of the newcomers.
