Back-to-back falls during the winter but kept the mistakes down (minus blinkers) when landing 6-runner contest at Sedgefield 3 weeks ago. Seen to good effect under positive ride that day and up 7 lb but likely to give it a good shot.
Back-to-back Musselburgh winner to end 2021. Creditable placed efforts since but assessor now looks in charge.
Course winner who went with more zest than has been the case when second of 12 at Carlisle last month. 3 lb rise for that defeat isn't ideal but he can remain competitive.
Perfect start for new yard when ending losing run at Wetherby (2m) on Boxing Day. Notched another success at Sedgefield last month and shaped quite well at latter venue a fortnight later.
Progressive sort who gained his breakthrough win in 15-runner handicap hurdle at Wetherby (19.7f) in January, forging clear from 2 out. Excellent second from revised mark at Doncaster and limit may not have been reached.
Ended 2020/21 on the up with a brace of big-field handicap wins. Drawn a blank this term, though back in good form with a brace of third-placed finishes of late.
Opened his account at Clonmel in December for Declan Queally. Much higher in the weights in Britain and not in top form both starts for this yard.
In the form of his life at present, winning around 2½m at Carlisle in October and Newcastle in December. Another sound effort at Doncaster latest and likely to go well again.
Encouraging signs initially for this yard, particularly when a close second in a 6-runner Hexham maiden in December. However, subsequently offered little in a brace of handicaps. Cheekpieces on for first time.
Fair winner on Flat and did the job well back in this sphere at Musselburgh last month. Early faller over fences there next time and just a fair fifth last week. Cheekpieces back on.
Course winner but he comes here below form, dropping away at Carlisle last month. Now below last winning mark but others more persuasive.
Still to register a victory but not discredited in handicaps during the autumn. Down to 2m and unable to land a blow the last twice but is now back up in distance.
Four-time winner on the Flat and finally off the mark over hurdles at Musselburgh in December. Found good run of form coming to a halt at Sedgefield last month.
Back-to-back wins in 20f Hexham handicaps to end 2021. Seemed to be found out by 5 lb higher mark in a better race at Catterick last month and he's out of the weights here.

Son Of The Somme (2/1), Goodtimes Badtimes (6/1), Headscarf Lil (7/1), Romeo Brown (15/2), Diamond State (15/2), Idilico (11/1), Bak Rocky (14/1), Demi Sang (16/1), Shoughall's Boy (16/1), Celtic Flames (16/1), Frightened Rabbit (16/1), Kiss My Face (20/1), Sheriff Garrett (20/1), Lovely Moon (22/1), Three Castles (40/1)
SON OF THE SOMME has made a really positive start to life in handicaps and, with further progress not ruled out given he's lightly raced for a 7-y-o, he looks the answer. Goodtimes Badtimes put up a career best to win at Musselburgh on Friday but his application under pressure can sometimes be lacking, while Romeo Brown is likely to give it another good go.
